Requests for data
This version is effective from 1. septembra 2026.
This page is meant for law enforcement, courts and other public authorities. If you are a user who wants to report content or behaviour, use the report button in the app or write to info@datingmia.com — we will handle it faster.
Where to send a request
By email to info@datingmia.com with the subject „Public authority request“. In writing to Affilkit s. r. o., Raková 596, 023 51 Raková, Slovenská republika.
The request must come from the authority’s official email address or be signed by an authorised person. We usually reply within 10 working days. For urgent cases see below.
What the request must contain
- the name of the authority, the case reference and the name and contact of the officer handling it,
- the legal basis — the provision of law the request is made under,
- precise identification of the account: the email address the user registered with, or the display name and the time the person was active on the service,
- an exact list of the data requested and the period it concerns,
- the deadline by which a reply is requested.
Without a precise identification of the account we cannot handle the request. Requests for the data of „all users from a town“ or similarly vague requests will be refused — we have no legal basis for them.
What user data we hold
Depending on what the person filled in and how they used the service, we may hold:
- the email address, the date of birth and the date the account was created,
- the display name, the town, profile details and photos,
- the video intro, if one was uploaded,
- the content of messages between users and the time they were sent,
- records of reports and blocks,
- subscription data — but not the payment card number; that is processed by the payment provider and we never see it.
What we do not hold: passwords in readable form (only an unreadable hash is stored), the content of communication outside the service, and location data more precise than the town the person chose themselves.
How long we keep data
Account data is kept while the account exists. After an account is deleted, the profile, photos, video and messages are removed. Accounting records for payments are kept for ten years, as required by the Slovak Accounting Act. Details are in the privacy policy.
If you need data preserved before you can submit a formal request, write to info@datingmia.com asking for preservation and identifying the account. We will preserve the data for 90 days so that it is not removed in the meantime. Preservation is not disclosure — that only happens on a proper request.
Urgent cases
If there is an immediate danger of death or serious harm to health, put the word URGENT in the subject of the email and describe the danger. We handle such requests first and without undue delay. Misusing this route for routine matters stops us from helping where a life really is at stake.
When we inform the user
We usually inform the user about a request so that they can exercise their rights. We will not do so where the law forbids it, where the authority asks us not to and gives reasons, or where it would endanger life, health or the course of an investigation.
What we do not provide
We provide data only on a request that states its legal basis. Informal requests by telephone, requests without identification of the account and requests going beyond the stated legal basis are refused. If the request concerns data processed by the payment provider, we will refer you to them directly — we have no access to it.
